Our History
North East Funerals began its life in Wangaratta as Bell Brothers Funerals, it changed hands and became Matthew Ryan Funerals and then Tate Funerals. John and Christine Haddrick brought the business and in 2018 changed the name to North East Funerals to reflect the area in which we service.
North East Funerals new premises near the Cnr. of Greta Road and Mason Street, (entry off Mason Street), 184 Greta Road, situated in Park setting, within easy access to Wangaratta Cemetery is open for all. The new facilities include a service venue and function area that can accommodate more than 350 people seated which then flows into our refreshment area, all under one roof. We can also create an intermediate space for smaller gatherings. Sealed all weather parking on site.
Owners and Director’s, John and Christine Haddrick, together with their caring professional team, continue the reputation of being North East Victoria’s most trusted funeral home.
John and Christine have strong ties to their community. Family-focused with adult children who now have children of their own, John and Christine have always been active community members serving and volunteering in many clubs and associations.
